My wheat flour swallow fufu made from scratch.
Wheat is the third most produced cereal after maize and rice, with lots of potassium, protein, magnesium and Iron. It’s health benefits depend on the form on which it is eaten.
Wheat can be used to make pastries, bread, cakes etc. We know that one slice of whole wheat bread contains about 1.5 grams of dietary fibre.
Wheat flour sold in bags at supermarkets is very good too and makes for easy preparation but I just learnt that some contain cassava even when it’s not obvious on the label.
STEPS TO MAKE WHEAT SWALLOW FROM SCRATCH
If you can make amala, tuwo or even millet swallows, then making wheat flour swallow will be easy for you.
- First mix a little quantity of wheat flour in tap water, stir well and place the watery mixture on a stove.

Let it boil very well before you start adding more and stirring continously to thicken. Do not stop stirring so it doesn’t stick to the pot and start making lumps.

While it boils, sprinkle in the wheat flour lightly while stirring and stop adding wheat when you get to your desired thickness.

Just continue stirring until it tastes cooked.

Turn off the heat and wrap cooked wheat swallow in cling films to retain hotness and give it a better texture.

Let it sit for a few minutes before you serve with some soup and enjoy your wheat swallow.
There is a shorter method I explained below and you can also use that to cook your wheat swallow.
HOW TO MAKE WHEAT SWALLOW FUFU FROM SCRATCH
First clean the wheat grains of dirt and dust.
Next, take your clean wheat grains for milling. After grinding very smooth, store the powder in an airtight container and only scoop out the quantity you need for every cooking.
Homemade Wheat flour lasts really long in airtight containers and gives tye best wheat swallows.
When I mill my wheat, it stays fresh in the airtight bucket for as long as I need until it gets exhausted. Some times as long as a year before it gets exhausted.

How To Process Wheat grains into Flour:

How to make fufu From wheat flour:
HOW TO MAKE WHEAT SWALLOW
- Boil clean water in a pot
- With your left hand, scoop some flour, start pouring continuously but sparingly into the pot of boiling water while your right hand stirs briskly and continuously.
- Continue to add flour and stir until you get your desired consistency and it’s cooked.
- Serve hot with any Nigerian soup of choice. Wheat fufu digests very fast. Heavy eaters should consume more cos it’s not as heavy as eba, starch or pounded yam but very smooth to the palate. Light dinner. wheat meal served with nutritious blended afang soup. Not heavy at all

i love wheat,infact i went to the market bought it raw and wemt to the mill to blend it.its highly nutritious and healthy
I found out that what I have been seeing on the shelf here in Moscow is wheat, so I bought and blended it myself and sieved the chaff away. Honestly it's been perfectly ok for me. I don't care about the work involved but it's worth it because my health is my priority
