Weight watcher Wholegrain mixed veg pasta By Lahmow. This is absolutely good for weight watchers
The pasta is barilla made with 51percent wholewheat. A healthier
(though much more expensive)choice than regular pastas we have around.
(though much more expensive)choice than regular pastas we have around.
Ingredients
1. Barilla wholegrain pasta( available in supermarkets;got a pack for 560naira)
2.Chopped Mixed vegetables consisting of carrots, cabbage, runnerbeans, springonions, green pepper and rodo
3. 2 tablespoons of olive oil(healthier cholesterol free choice)
4. Indomie spice (optional)
5. Knorr cubes
6.Salt
7.Curry and thyme
8.Boiled Shawa fish (replaced sardines)
How to cook Weight watcher Wholegrain mixed veg pasta
1. Par-boil the barilla pasta with the curry and thyme for about 4 mins(it gets soft very fast) drained and set aside.
2. Pour the 2 tbsp of olive oil in a dry pan and fry your rodo(pepper) for a few minutes before adding the other veggies and indomie spice,1 knorr cube and salt to taste.
3. Stir fry for about 3 minutes and then add your boiled fish. Stir together and leave for about 2 minutes more.
4. Add the drained par-boiled pasta to the mixture and stir fry for another 2- 3 minutes
5.Voila your healthy meal is ready
Consisting of proteins, low carbohydrate and veggies
I made sure I loaded it with more of the veggies and less of the pasta(regardless of it being low in calories)
This meal didn’t take me up to 30 minutes to prepare.
Remember portion Control is key as well.the fact that it’s wholegrain/whole wheat shouldn’t make one go overboard with serving.
Enjoy your Weight watcher Wholegrain mixed veg pasta.
