This beautiful lady today has been found by @tonyrapu and she’s heading for rehabilitation. Not everyone like her will be so lucky. She tells her story but first. I feel like saying something to parents. Let’s please take it easy on these kids. Whether we like it or not, times are changing.
We cannot force them to be like the days when we only had books to read to connect with the world.
We cannot force them to be like when we only had black and white Television to help us connect with the world.
Times are changing fast and as we train them up in the ways of the Lord, we are doing our best and shouldn’t expect too much.
All your kids won’t turn out the same even if you locked them up in a cave forever. Even if we exposed kids to the same everything, they won’t all turn out the same.
Before Lizzy became a drug addict, she went to the best schools.
I think her problems started when she got pregnant… Most parents can’t stand that publix embarrassment. What is love, if you can’t love your kids enough to make deep sacrifices for them. If you can’t love your kids enough to leave that circle of friends for their sake, it’s not enough.
If the love you have for your kids isn’t enough to make you relocate for their sakes, it’s not enough.
If the love you have for your kids isn’t enough to make you move to a different neighbourhood for their sakes, then, it’s not enough.
If the love you have for your kids isn’t enough to make you change your church for their sakes, then it’s not enough.
If you don’t love your kids enough to protect them when they make grievous mistakes, its not enough.
If you cannot withdraw from that mighty church position you hold to protect your kids, the love isn’t enough.
If you can’t take no shame for the sake of your kids, that love isn’t enough.
After all said and done. If this lady Lizzy found love and acceptance at home after that teenage pregnancy, her life perhaps would have been different. Nothing wrong with shunning gossips, accepting your child and helping nurture her through her mistakes and trials.
She found love and acceptance in the arms of a boyfriend who destroyed her whole life with drugs.
How do you react when you kids make mistakes? Do you turn your backs at them for causing you embarrassment?
Read her story and watch the video below…
A 26-year-old cocaine addict simply identified as Lizzy, has recounted how her boyfriend got her into drug addiction.
Lizzy’s story was shared by Lagos pastor, Tony Rapu, whose foundation is working to get her off drug addiction.
In a video shared online, Lizzy who went to A-list schools like Vivian Fowler, Caleb Nursery and Primary School, recounted how her boyfriend introduced her to crack. She also narrated how she resorted to begging and prostitution just to feed her addiction ( Though she didn’t mention the pregnancy and how she left home before all these began).
”I am lizzy. I have been here now for seven years. I have been seeing different rehabs and I have refused to go because I feel they will not be able to take care of me because the Heroin and Cocaine has gone inside of me very well.
I finished my secondary school from Vivian Fowler. I went to Caleb Nursery and Primary School.
I came into drugs through a friend. He used to be my boyfriend. He was putting it in my weed I didn’t know. There was a day he showed it to me and told me he had been putting it in my weed I didn’t know. I was like what is this and he told me its cocaine. That was how I got into cocaine”
Posting her video online, Pastor Tony wrote
”We visited Ipodo this afternoon, a dilapidated and degraded community in the heart of Ikeja.
Our visit was to rescue 26 year old Lizzy from the clutches of her captors; the drug sellers and pimps who feed her drug habit from the proceeds of prostitution and other vices.
