Ugu okro soup served with stew and corn flour fufu. |
Maybe I should have posted this long before Nigerian tomatoes became
diamonds. Made this long ago but kept postponing each time upload takes longer than expected. This soup was cooked with just vegetables, dadawa, and salt. That’s all. Served with stew and corn flour fufu.
Juts 3 ingredients for the delicious combo |
INGREDIENTS:
- Okro
- Ugu vegetables (flutted pumpkin)
- dadadwa (Optional)
- salt
- onion
CCOKING PROCEDURE:
I added onion, salt and dawadawa to my small pot of water, once the water boils, I added the vegetables, stir, check for salt, stir for a few seconds, check to see that vegetables are edible but still crunchy, turn off the heat and serve with stew and corn flour fufu.
Aunty what about those of us that don't like dawa dawa, what can we use to replace it for this soup?
@Anita, dadawa is optional. You can use crayfish instead or just salt, the stew will give it good taste.
