Whatever outfit Meghan is wearing sells out Online in no time because of the ‘Duchess Effect’
Meghan Markle has previously been seen wearing a Victoria Beckham cream knit jumper – she’s worn it to royal events and was pictured wearing it in her official engagement photos with Prince Harry.
But while the duchess enjoys that particular fashion item, it’s unlikely you’ll ever see her in a VB dress.
Even though the two women are reportedly friends – with the former Spice Girl attending her wedding in May – it seems her style simply isn’t for Meghan.
And it’s all because of her body shape. In an interview with Glamour from a few years ago, the 37-year-old opened up about her own personal fashion tastes.
She said: “What I’m starting to learn is, even though things look amazing on the hanger, it doesn’t mean they’re going to look amazing on me.
“For example I love Victoria Beckham dresses, but I don’t have the long torso to support that silhouette.” The former Suits star went on to discuss her love of “monochromatic and tonal dressing” and admitted she generally doesn’t wear a lot of prints.
She also revealed that her go-to style of dress on a “normal” day was a shift dress with flats and a little cropped jacket as it’s ideal travel wear, but as she’s gotten older she has started to prefer longer dresses.
And in case you’re interested, in the same interview she claims her style spirit animal is Emmanuelle Alt, the editor-in-chief of Vogue Paris since February 2011.
