A piece of pizza fresh from the oven. |
My homemade pizza cooked in just 10 minutes and tastes really good, both adults and kids rushed it like mad.
Prep time: 15 minutes
Baking time: 10 minutes.
Ingredients:
21/2 cups all purpose flour
7g dry yeast (about 21/2 teaspoons)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon sugar
2 tablespoons vegetable oil (you can use olive oil or your choice of cooking oil)
1 tablespoon cornflour.
7g dry yeast (about 21/2 teaspoons)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon sugar
2 tablespoons vegetable oil (you can use olive oil or your choice of cooking oil)
1 tablespoon cornflour.
INGREDIENTS FOR MY PIZZA SAUCE:
250ml warm water (1 cup)
1 large tomato
1 small green pepper
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 medium sized onion
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
1 large tomato
1 small green pepper
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 medium sized onion
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
FOR TOPPINGS:
1 sausage
Tomato Ketchup
cheese
Tomato Ketchup
cheese
BAKING PROCEDURE:
- I combined the yeast, salt, sugar, and flour in a bowl; made a well in the centre and poured the 250ml warm water in there.
- Then mixed to a dough and began to knead for about 5 minutes before placing in a warm cupboard and chopping my vegetables for sauce.
- For the Sauce, I heated the oil in a pan with onion and seasoning cube instead of sugar.
- I added the chopped tomato and green pepper, stirred in low heat, checked the taste and added the mayonnaise (Sometimes I also add a tablespoon of ketchup here but for this one I didn’t).
Mix the mayo and vegetables well (low heat enough to let the vegetables sweat, not frying like stew o).
- Stirred for about 15 minutes, I like the taste and aroma in the kitchen already.
- Turn off the heat and back to the dough waiting in the cupboard. I used a lightly floured round saucer to roll the dough out and create the circle shape.
- Made it very flat because while baking it will rise. I then brushed oil on the baking pan, sprinkled corn flour and brushed off excess flour before placing the round dough in there, sprinkling about 2 tablespoons of tomato ketchup (you can add more if you really love ketchup).
- After ketchup, I spread the homemade pizza sauce, the toppings of chopped sausages and some onion came next, then my cheese came in last.
- I have to confess that there is no grated cheese, we substituted with the ones made for sandwich. I used about 4 from a pack, broke them up and placed on the pizza.
- Baked for just 10 minutes using the pizza button on my microwave. Baking in a normal oven might take about 2o minutes or more.
