Recipe For Broccoli Salad By Miss N. Good day Aunty Eya,
I felt it would be nice for me to share the recipe for broccoli salad with the WC family.
BROCCOLI SALAD.
Some benefits of Broccoli.
Prevents Cancer, Regulates blood pressure, Strengthens Immune System, Enhances Eye,Heart,Bone Health.
Almonds and Sultanas/Raisins also have unique benefits (That’s Your Homework!)
Ingredients:
1.5 heads of fresh broccoli
1 small red Onion
1/2 pound of
bacon
bacon
1/2 cup of raisins/sultanas/mixed fruits
1/2 cup of almonds
1 cup of real/light mayonnaise
One table spoon of white sugar
1.5 tablespoon of vinegar.
Instructions to make broccoli salad
a. Grill or fry bacon till it is slightly brown and cooked, place on a paper towel to drain out the oil.
b. Cut broccoli into bite size, slice almonds, dice onions, crumble bacon into tiny pieces and set all aside
c. Get a bowl/ small pot/ any thing suitable for mixing food, pour in mayonnaise,vinegar and sugar then mix for 40secs till creamy.
d. Pour in raisins,almonds,onions,bacon and finally broccoli and mix together.
e.Keep in the fridge for at least 1.5 hour before serving for a better,and chilled taste.
Note: For onion lovers, please do not over put onions to spoil the taste of other ingredients.
Pls, Pardon my quantity of mayonnaise and use of sugar.You could use light fat mayonnaise and honey.Some people use red grapes in place of honey/sugar.
You could also add avocado pear,red grapes to this salad provided it is diced into bite size.
I would recommended you try the recipe on first trial to enjoy the real taste of the salad before cutting down on sugar and mayo the second time(for our healthy eaters.)

Hmm mm had to google Broccoli. Know its in the cabbage family bt had ₪☺ idea what it looks like. Now I know(looks like the head of a mop. Stick *smile*) then pork again. All these makes it one scarry dish 4 me. Bt I encourage Ʊ all to try it. If 4 nothing else the health benefit of broccoli. I will just sit by the side and call it a meal 4 the brave heart. No thanks….I'm not eating raw brocolli, I'd rather have it with my Sunday roast. Besides, the Mayo and sugar are a major turn-off for me.
I've tasted brocolli once, and dint like how my mouth felt. So, yea, I'll pass. And looks overly creamy too!

I think I rather use chopped roasted cauliflower instead of brocolli and less cream den brown sugar instead of white. Nice one poster.
