Parents who take their kids on the school run while wearing their pyjamas have been given short shrift by a disgruntled head teacher.
Kate Chisholm, of Skerne Park Primary, has written to families and carers of youngsters at the school in Darlington.
Her letter states that she has “noticed an increasing tendency for parents to escort
children while still wearing their pyjamas and, on occasion, even slippers”.
The teacher requests that parents take the time to dress appropriately in day wear which is suitable for the weather conditions.
Ms Chisholm adds that it is important to set a good example to pupils about what is appropriate, reports the Gazette.
She explained: “We want the very best for our children and we do feel that parents turning up in their pyjamas to bring their children to school or for school meetings are setting a bad example to our children.

I can’t remember doing school runs in pyjamas but I think mothers do that to avoid delaying kids in the morning.
I get terribly disgusted about this. I get angry seeing women in slippers, pyjamas and hair net during morning school run.
I once saw a lady with a vest top with no bra and she happens to be heavily endowed. All the endowment was swinging as she rushed out of her car to walk her daugther to the school gate…. I actually felt embarrassed. We are not perfect but it takes 15mins to put a bra on, decent clothes, wash your face and brush your teeth. If theres no time to brush your hair, tie a scarf.
I never leave my house without a shower. When I know i'm soing school run, i get up early and get myself sorted 1st before I start on tbe kids.
Madam maybe u don't have 3 to 4 kids. It's wrong not wearing bra. Atleast pull on a short or jeans as of d hair net it's no big deal. You don't expect me to wake up at 5 get 4 kids ready and bath b4 dropping them off. Not possible 4 me abeg. I just brush wear my jeans n top that's all.

Madam Please understand my comment. I didn't say i expect everyone to have a shower. I said looking decent for school run is important…..and yes i have 3 kids.
Its no big deal. It is a matter of planning and organisation. I have 7 kids. Nobody expects any mother to wear suit of her best dress before dropping her kids to school, however a descent casual dressing wouldn't kill any one.I plan it starting from every evening after family meal . I get them to bath ,organise school bags, prepare their lunch meal Which stays in the fridge ready for the day, get the uniforms ready. In fact everything is done every evening before school. This means that when we wake up in the morning, I just get them to brush teeth and a quick drywash. Once they are having their breakfast I use the opportunity to tidy myself and get dressed in a neat casual dress. Once they are done with breakfast they get dressed and pick up all their necessary items and off we go. It is not easy I agree. But this method worked for me.
