There is so much unemployment right now and people are depressed and carrying long faces in their underemployed offices. WHATEVER YOUR HAND FINDETH TO DO, DO IT WELL!
A few months ago, I went to the Department of Motor Vehicles to renew our licence. The guy who attended to me, a middle-aged guy, provided EXCELLENT customer service.
Now for me, customer service is a huge deal. Your product may not be the best but if your customer service is top notch, you got me hooked and i will be your loyal fan.
On the flip side, if your product is the ‘bestest’ but your customer service stinks, its ‘bye Felicia’ from me.
Back to the story.
So this guy went above and beyond to serve us without knowing us. I started talking to him and found out that he
drives 2 hours to work daily and 2 hours back.
I also found out that he has been trying to change jobs but nothing had come up yet.
Anyway, i took his contact.
So an HR manager i know in one company contacted me about a job vacancy.
They needed a Customer service representative in a particular location and she asked if knew anyone.Did she say customer service?
I remembered that guy and contacted him. The location where the vacancy is, is 10 minutes from his home!
How so??? 😳I quickly called my HR Manager friend and told her i had the perfect candidate for her and i was willing to give him a reference based on how he attended to me at his current job.
The guy has an interview on Monday and I pray he performs well 🙏🏼
What is my point?
Put in your best in whatever you are doing. You never know the doors that may open for you or opportunities that may come up.
In my Longrich Turbocharge team, we take customer service SERIOUSLY too and train our turbocharge partners to provide good service to everyone they come across.
Just keep doing good.
