So, today is my birthday and I have tried my best to just enjoy peace and stay away from stress and noise. I told myself that blog posting will be postponed till tomorrow but for where? I miss the blog already and will post this for myself since there was no cooking by yours truly. By the way I thank God for the wisdom to inform my family that a birthday girl is not supposed to cook, she is supposed to be served by others and honestly, aside birthday, I’m onboard the 21 day fasting and prayer train.
COOKING WHILE FASTING
Have entered the kitchen from the very first day of this fast. That shouldn’t be. I had to adjust somethings by asking my entire family to tell me why the one that is fasting should be the one cooking meals for the non fasters? ehn?Does it make any sense at all?
Only one person in the family is fasting and praying for us and that same person still cares about other people’s stomach. Am I stewpid or something is peppering my brain. To say the truth here, When I cook, there is this strong temptation to eat but thankfully his grace is sufficient and I have always closed my eyes to this temptacious temptation.
AVOIDING FOOD TEMPTATION IN THE KITCHEN
My method has been to ask someone to check for salt or we serve the food like that because I cannot come and ruin my mountaintop exercise with long throat for food that I started eating since I was born and I’m still the same Eya.
Sha, every January, I try to join in this fast by just picking a few days to observe but this year I want to try going all the way and see if God won’t embarrass me with something awesome.
