Feeling uncomfortable about a man washing a girl’s private parts, a woman has banned her husband and the father of their daughters from giving them a bath or entering the bath tub with them. She feels like that is her responsibility and that the husband should also be the
one to bathe the boys. Read below;
A mum has banned her husband from bathing their daughters because they have “different body parts”.
The woman, from Queensland in Australia, explained her position in a status on Facebook, where she said she doesn’t “feel comfortable” with a man washing young girls – even if he’s their dad.
The mother wrote: “So hubby is upset with me because I have told him that I don’t (want him to) wash our two daughters in the bath or shower.
“I just believe that girls should be getting washed by their mothers and boys get the same from their fathers,’ she said.
“It’s just got to do with the fact that mum and daughters have the same parts, same goes for men and their sons.”
The woman said her husband has been left upset and offended by the ‘bath ban’. But while he contests her refusal to allow him a role, she said their two children are the priority.
She added: “Hubby thinks I think ill of him, but it’s always been this way for me.
“People play the ‘I was molested card’ so very often these days, I just don’t want in any way to give my kids the chance to even think about that.”
As ever, the mum’s decision has divided opinion, Mail Online reports. Some support her caution and understand the worries entrenched in society.
But others disagree – often rudely – and suggest she’s treating her partner like a paedophile.
One commenter told her: “You have more than a few screws loose, you shouldn’t even be thinking like that putting your partner in the same category as a child sex predator.
“This post says a lot about how you see yourself and your negative way of life,’ one woman said.
“Sad how you tell your husband not to bathe his own kids.”
Another woman accused the young mum of “sexualising bath time”.
She said: “What about single parents? Should they not bath their son or daughters in case they molested them?”
“Talk about placing stigma where stigma is not warranted,” wrote another critic.
