Global pop singer Madonna recently adopted twin girls from Malawi in East Africa.
Madonna brought her twins girls home to snowy New York City on Wednesday. The twins arrived in a limousine after driving slowly for 3 hours from the airport in blizzard-like conditions. It was the first time the girls had ever seen snow in their lives.
On Thursday, the 58-year-old mother-of-6 shared an Instagram.com photo of her 4-year-old twins, Estere and Stelle, playing at their former orphanage in Malawi.
In the photo caption, she explained that the twins were raised at the Home of
Hope orphanage, where she adopted her son David and daughter Lucy, both 11. She said there are 650 children still there awaiting adoption.
Madonna supports the orphanage financially through her Raising Malawi Foundation.
She asked her Instagram followers to donate to the orphanage which is “run by the generous and compassionate Rev. Chipeto and his daughter Lucy”.
