I’m Still Here

Yes, I have a lot of unachieved goals, dreams and a lot of unattended functions.

I have had my fair share of life with its ups and downs. I have cried, been hurt, been talked down, being crushed, been dealt with several blows, failed, lost loved ones, yet! I have excelled, been loved, been celebrated and been cherished; above all, I have survived. I have hoped after

hope and thankfully, I’m still here.

I know without an iota of doubt that I’m on earth for a reason just because I am still here.  I wake up each day to the rising of the sun with smiles on my face, ready to take on the dynamic challenge of the day. Yesterday’s hope died with yesterday as it would not have been sufficient for today let alone tomorrow’s unique challenges, hence, I wake up each day with a different kind of hope, a new and renewed faith and hope. I am certain that I am a unique solution to the problems of my generation.
I am not quite bothered that it may not look like it now, I know that I’m taking baby steps daily to my breakthrough, I know I’m being schooled on how to deal with that phase of my life, right from now.
Hence, I dream awake, I celebrate, I am excited and I’m so grateful for life, love and for everyone that their paths have crossed mine. I know that I had to learn a lesson either good or bad from them.
On a day like this, I can’t help but be thankful and grateful to God for the beginning of another year.
Hey, slow down; don’t be in a hurry to leave this piece. We all are celebrating. C’mon, that you woke up this morning is worth celebration. A trip to the hospital will further confirm this to you.
Join me in thanking God today ‘coz irrespective of all you’re going through, just like me that you’re alive means you’re definitely here for a purpose. I’m sure you’ve heard it times without number that once there is life, there is hope.
Of course! I’d blow my own trumpet. I’m done waiting for someone else to do that for me. Biko, allow me wish myself a happy birthday. A different kind of birthday wish with a better understanding. Remember I’m not the only one celebrating, we all are.
