Good day anty Eya, hello WC family,u guys have been fantastic and I have learnt a lot from dis u guys. please I need help with my baby.
My 4mth old son is always putting his
fingers in his mouth although he sucks but d rate at which he puts his fingers in his mouth this days is alarming. He will put his two hands almost all his 10fingers in his mouth and the amount of saliva that follows it is like a gushing tap, even after eating.
Anything u give him to play with is into his mouth (toys), even his bib he puts it in his mouth and kinda rob on his gum.
My questions:
Please is he teething? Or is it something else?,should I be worried? And what can I do if he is teething?
Please I will really appreciate your answers..thank you in advance..

Take your baby to d hospital as much as we cn advice tins like dis shud be taken to a medical personel not wives connection
he is probably teething because even during teething the rate of saliva production increases.to help soothe your babys gum u can get a teething ring and put it in the fridge to be cool then give the baby to chew on it or get a teething powder to rub on it but be very careful to get an original one, would just prefer teething ring
There is nothing wrong with your baby, it's just another phase, which will pass soon. Just ensure that his hands and the things around him are clean. At 4months, I don't think it teething yet but you can get him a teething ring,to soothe your nerves and make you feel like you are doing something to help (smiles). Just relax, it's a passing phase.

Of course dearie, ur son is teething,go for teething rings and bcareful of what goes into His mouth to avoid infection; or better still, visit ur doctor.
I think your baby is teething. Like other people said get a teething ring, teething powder and teething gel.
I won't worry about d salaiva bcoz even with the things mentioned above babies dripping salaiva will only b reduced and won't completely stop. Put a beeb on him to keep his clothes dry.
If you are still worried please see a doctor.
Is teething ,don't be suprise my daughter started growing teeth at 3months. And her brother at 9months so each child has his or her own time
It definitely a teething episodes. my son started teething early and just about this tyme, he started putting every and everytin in his mouth. Cold teething ring will help but be prepared to have more than one as the baby will keep throwing it away and you will need to give another one!
this is pretty normal.no need to worry.
My dear, don't panic, it most likely teething. The gums itch wen dy r teething. I remember my own, my mum told me there wasn't anything wrong wt d child I said " for wia" come see me for hospital oo. Hmnnn, d doctor told me to go home and trust my mum. Lol. Chei.
But it's ok to always take them to d hospital just in case.
Cheers dear
Mrs A.
You should get him a pacifier to soothe himself instead of his fingers..
Thank you so much WC family, will do as advised.
God bless y'll

Lool!
Ur baby is fine.its jst a phase which is normal 4 his age occuring(3-6months)varies tho.due to d fact dat d gum is preparing 2 erupt d milk teeth,it is undergoing some irritations,d reason y he wants 2 put anytin in2 his mouth 2 help soothe d irritations.excessive salivation is also a feature of teething.teething ring will b helpful,n mk sure dat baby toys n pacifiers n d house,d floor r kept clean, cos d baby tries 2 put anytin he comes in contact wit in2 his mouth,d reason 4 d diarrhoea dat occurs during teething in some cases, cos dey place dirt in2 deir mouth.no need 4 teethin powder, some mild analgesics mayb helpful, cos dey may v pains around d gums..its jst a phase dat will pass.notin 2 worry abt..DENTIST!
Ur baby is ok dear
@ 4months… It's teething. Get him teething toys.

No to teething powder pls
Eya, wait o, where are my comments? I only advised not even an insulting word there…….. Well done!
Poster, pls don't use teething powder cos its not medically safe and if you must use teething ring, make sure you boil with salty water
Na teeth o and its nothing to worry abt! The gum hitches that's why he behaves that way and the excessive saliva is nothing to worry abt. Its also caused by teething. In another 1 or 2 mnths, the teeth will sprout Always get a whole big carrot or apple, give him to bite and chew on. I don't encourage teethers cos of germs.
1. Yes, he most likely is teething that's d reason 4 so much saliva & gum itchiness.
2. All babies put their fingers/things in their mouths, evn mine datz 1+ yrs still does it 2 an extent.
D only thing u can do is try as much as possible 2 kp his hands n toys clean (emphasis: as much as possible).
it sounds like he's teething.my daughter grew her first tooth at 4mnths so its very possible.a teething ring and teething powder will help.
all the best
Lmao my son brought out 2teeth the day he turned 4months and prior to that he used to bring out lots of saliva.
Pls dentist what is wrong with using teething powder cos i use it for my baby up till this moment. She is nine months now
Don't you think the baby might choke if given a carrot or apple?
