PLEASE I NEED YOUR HELP CAUSE BEFORE I KNOW,THE SALARY WILL FINISH BEFORE MONTH END…
No one on this planet can save with fiftenn thousand naira.
First of all, whether you think you can or you think you can't, you are right.
Yes, you can save from any cash, no matter how little it is.
The trick is to spend from what is left after you save and not from saving after what is left.(hope you understand?)
No matter what, atleast save 10percent of any income you get, preferably in an account that u don't av easy access to,eg, atm card.
Here's how I will break 15k down if it was me.
Tithe-1500
Savings-1500
Amt for 4weeks-3000 times 4weeks – 12000 (I can transport from my house to work with 4h a week, and use the rest for food.switch that breakdown per week on how it suits you but 3k is what you can have per week)
Total- 15k
It's important to note that in savings, it's the little drop that makethe mighty ocean.
1500 may not look like much but leave it there for a while and it adds up.
The important thing is to save it and let it grow per month.
Discipline is key in this too.
After tithe, save before spending and use a budget. It will amaze you the things you can cut off that can help you live within your means.
Hope this helps.

What if I dont pay tithe, anything wrong?
I couldn't have said it any better. Little drops of water makes it all
You can even save more than 2k from that money. Buy foodstuff in bulk from the market instead of buying bits by bits from kiosks as this is more expensive. Carry food to work from home instead of buying from canteen or fast food joints. Do not buy things u don't becessarily need. I was on a 9700 salary at a time and was still able to save to rent a house closer to work. You can do it.
Let me share my own story. When I finished secondary school, I taught a bit for 1 year before entering university. Then, I was being paid 1200 naira, then increased to 1500 and later 2000 naira in 1997. With this money, I was able to support my family with buying little things like soap, tissue, even saved n tiled our sitting room because my parents weren't so buoyant. I was still able to save on top on this matter o! How I did it? I remove my tithe and d amount I want to save first before I start spending! Fast forward to several years after, done with university, been working for years now, my salary is about 250,000 a month and d same rule still applies. Remove Tithes, amount to save, spend what I need and still save some more! Trust me, you can do it if u are determined. Motivate urself into saving something no matter how small by thinking of d confidence u'll have at d thought of having ur own money in d bank Incase of a rainy day. If you have a need of 10k, and you have 5k in ur account, u only need to borrow extra 5k to make it up! Still better than having to borrow all d 10k! Hope this helps. Sorry for d epistle.
Thanks this has not helped only the poster Buh me too, would save my allowie cos I'm currently serving.

Nice topic my people God will bless you all for this.i remember I opened an savings account with then broad bank just because of their slogan that says save for the rainy day.later when I finished university studies I worked in a bank then I realized that so many people spend even more than they earn, tips to good savings (1) no impulse purchase (2)set a desired project to save for (3) live a simple life style (4)do not compare your earnings with others .lastly pray to God for the grace.
Thanks alot. This was really helpful to me.
