A Louisiana couple faces charges after paramedics responding to a call about a miscarriage discovered the woman’s newborn alive in the trash, officials said.
Thelma Kirkland, 30, and Carl Hall, 31, were arrested Friday on suspicion of attempted murder after the baby was found at their Alexandria home, according to a police news release.
Paramedics reportedly were treating Kirkland for a miscarriage Wednesday when the newborn was discovered.
