Hello Eya,
I came across your blog while looking for remedy for my daughter’s dark spots on her legs. She is 6 years and has had these spots since barely 1 year of age.
She reacts to all sorts of bites, scratches her skin resulting in sores which end up with black scars.
She wears pantyhose 24 /7 now even to school!. I have been to dermatologists to no avail.
Please someone help me. What else can I do to get rid of these spots??
Thank you so much.
A worried mother,
Make Shea butter and palm kernel oil her cream I promise she will be fine
I think it's her skin. I had all sorts growing up too. Couldn't leave the itching, couldn't stop it either. Used all sorts of medications and soaps. It didn't go. I still have the spots, though not as bad as before. She'll outgrow it. Her skin is sensitive is all.
When I noticed my daughter had the same problem at abt one year too, I started deworming her at every six months and it cleared after a short period.
My son has the same thing, its called skeeter's syndrome, which means he is allergic to mosquito saliva which causes the bites to turn into blisters and leaves dark marks after they have healed. A quick search on google should help with natural remedies. We havnt really focused on the scarring because he is a boy and the scars from falling and wounds are almost the same amount…lol…but it helps to know the root cause to help in treating the problem. I hope this helps.
You can use natural black soap. The original once are sold by Yoruba women in the market or red Ghana soap. Bath her with it and after bathing her. Don't clean the water on her body. Use the same soap as cream. Allow it to dry and she will be Ok. She will equally out grow it
My kids can scratch any bite….i use shea butter nd kernel cream…make ur own cream for now until all clears
Thanks. Shea butter and kernel cream, where could one get them please.
