HOW TO COOK Chicken GIZZARD STIR FRY
INGREDIENTS:
1 kg gizzard
2 medium sized onion
1 teaspoon thyme
1 teaspoon curry powder
1/3 teaspoon rosemary
2 teaspoons grated ginger
2 seasoning cubes
Salt to taste
2 cups water
2 large red bell peppers (Tatashey)
1 large green pepper
3 medium sized plum tomatoes.
1 kg gizzard
2 medium sized onion
1 teaspoon thyme
1 teaspoon curry powder
1/3 teaspoon rosemary
2 teaspoons grated ginger
2 seasoning cubes
Salt to taste
2 cups water
2 large red bell peppers (Tatashey)
1 large green pepper
3 medium sized plum tomatoes.
Simple COOKING steps for chicken gizzard stir fry
1. Wash and boil gizzard in the two cups of water, with one onion and salt till cooked through (till done in the middle too o). This should take up to 30 to 45 minutes.
2. Fry the second onion with the thyme, Rosemary, tomatoes ginger and one seasoning cube until onion begins to brown.
3. Add the peppers, curry, the remaining seasoning cube and stir very well. Cover the pot to cook for about 1 minute, check for salt and add the cooked gizzard. Leave to simmer for about 1 minute.
4. Add the little stock and stir, if it’s too dry, you can add some water, check for salt and let it simmer for about 1 more minute. Check for salt/taste. Take off from heat.
5. Serve this delicious gizzard sauce with boiled rice, plantain, boiled irish potatoes or enjoy with some zobo wine. Can serve as a starter while friends/guests wait for the main course or… serve as a snack and Enjoy our chicken gizzard stir fry recipe.
