Hello poster. I’m not sure if ugu leaf can induce abortion. However, there are cases of pregnant women who confessed to having experienced contractions after eating too much of ugu vegetable soups like edikaikong. Like because of the cravings, they eat ugu leaf for breakfast, lunch and dinner and then start having stomach problems and stooling.
Whether pregnant or not, when you eat ugu leaf or any other green vegetable, try to eat something else in between before returning again to ugiu leaf.
If you have problems with vegetables soups like ugu leaf soups, then stay away from them while pregnant. You can speak with a Doctor or eat ugu leaf in moderation.

How can ugwu leaf induce abortion? That shit mixed with condenced milk and maltina gives some badass blood especially if u have been diagnose of low blood even for pregnant women.. Just make sure na ugwu leaf and not some poisonous leaf mixed with d ugwu leaf.

Please and please do not squeeze raw ugi and drink the water ooo beg.. its too strong on the liver and kidneys and can resuly in failure of these organs with time.. abeg oo not every vegetable is meant to be consumed raw.. i dont know about it inducing abortion.. it is relatively safe wen cooked.

Hello poster, I think a medical practitioner wld be the best person to ask this questions cos u never can tell. Fruits and vegetables are generally considered to be good for pregnant woman. I took lots of them when pregnant but pregnancy cld also force some unusual habits. U may suddenly dislike some food which u were used to or even experience body discomfort. A friend of mine almost had a pre-term delivery when she took Mangoes but I had them a lot. So discuss ur fear wt a professional. Regards

I do not have the medical implication of taking ugu in pregnancy but I will tell you my personal experience. I was diagnosed with low blood count in pregnancy and my mother-in-law, a retired matron, recommended that I drink liquid washed from ugu leaves with milk or malt. It helped to raise my blood count tremendously.
If you are unsure of taking it during pregnancy, please ask your doctor.

I doubt if ugu induces abortion. I had low blood issues while pregnant, I took ugu juice for two weeks and it shot up from 24% to 41%
However, its advised you steam it just a little for your liver and kidney
No two persons are same, it might have not worked for someone else and that's why they told you that.

@ poster in may or so I made edikaikong soup about 3 times, today as I write dis, I'm about 4 months pregnant and it's advicable for pregnant women to eat vegetables. The one I hrd that can induce abortion /prevent conception is Afang/okazi leaf. Some persons feel heat inside wen they eat it, so these trado doctors,in d village advice women trying to concieve, to avoid it cuz d heat from d okazi might lead to abortion.or prevent conception Na so me I born cum hear Oo°˚˚˚°!

Did you know that drinking a lot of zobo induces uterine contractions and menstruation? Didn't think you did. Ask a doctor and nutritionist and read up on maximum dosage to avoid trouble. All things are good in menstruation.
I did my last year and spent 3000 for registration, 2 passport of that of you and your fiancee which will be placed on the notice board for 21 days of which u can now be wedded. The reg last for 3 months.
And we were told that to bring drinks, a wine or money for it on the day of the joining but we gave them 2000.

Green vegetables are very nutritious and good to eat while pregnant but our body types are different. What suits A might not Suit B. If you are fine after eating ugu or any food, then good. However, if you feel some discomforts, then baby too might be feeling not okay. Every pregnancy is different too. What you enjoy with one pregnancy may become what you hate with another pregnancy. .If you develop a running stomach after eating vegetables or pepper soup, then stop until you confirm with a Doctor.

Okazi soup like every other Nigerian vegetable soup is loaded with rich vitamins for you and unborn baby, however, too much of vegetables can give some people a running stomach. Enjoy but not eating only okazi for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
