Bake a cake mix cake using already packed cake mix flour
First of all thanks to Sazzy and Jay for their contributions towards the operation of my Scanfrost oven “from hell” like one Anon said.

Using a cake mix is a very easy way to bake without starting from scratch. Cake mix can be found in big supermarkets, just get a pack and
follow the instructions written on it.
Ingredients:
1 pack Domo Mix cake or any mix cake you find (there are many brands not just Domo)
3 eggs
240ml warm water
120ml vegetable oil (I used soya oil)
Cake Mix Cake Baking Instructions
- Preheat your oven for 30 minutes.
Mix all the above listed ingredients and beat with an electric mixer for 2 minutes or with your wooden spoon for 5 minutes like I did.
Grease your pan with butter and flour to avoid cake sticking to the pan after baking.
Pour the mixed batter into pan and place in the preheated oven. Reduce heat, turn knob anti-clockwise to the lower flame sign if you use a Scanfrost oven.
Allow to bake for 45 minutes. Or when a knife inserted comes out clean without any batter on it.
Cake is ready. Cool and decorate if you desire.
wooow gee emmy, am inspired to bake oo, also use scan frost, hv never used the oven, to bake or grill just dont know what knob to turn etc, will experiment this weekend.
I love cake mix. Quick, easy with amazing results. Only issue I have with them is that some of them have an after taste… but the chocolate mixes are the best. Nice one!
Pls what is the equivalent of 120 ml or 240 ml?
Ahdaisy you dun no both the choc cake mix from tesco. Its amazing!
Hi, I glad you were able to bake successfully with your scanfrost oven. This is just the begining of lovely snacks and cakes for the family and probably the begining of business.
There are numerous unit converters online, find one you like and use it.
You are welcome Gee. I'm glad my little chip in was of help to you 🙂
Great job with the cake. It looks perfect. Well done!
Good luck with that Debby, turn the knob to ur left, light the hole at the bottom, turn to the high flame sign for oven reheating for 30 minutes then put ur batter in the oven and turn to the lower flame for rising and baking proper. The right turning of the knob is for grilling, light the upper part of the oven for grilling. Baking is the bottom part.
I go to google and I say how many cl is 120ml? Then I'd use eva water bottle which is 75cl to know equivalent by using my eye to divide or pouring water in bits to fill it up dividing. That way I know the equivalent. I hope I helped answer ur question. Its quite confusing but easy when u master it…. 1cl = 10ml..
120ml = 12cl.
Yes o… Winks* thanks a bunch
Thank you
Jealousy! Enemies!! Bad belle!!!
@ Gee Emmy, my scanfrost has five knobs, which do I turn to the lowest or is it all of them?
Thanks gee emmy.
Get yourself a set of measuring cups and spoons. There are some cheap ones (N400). 1 cup is 250ml and 1/2 cup is 125ml so you can approximate 240ml and 120ml
Ok.. If u have my kind of model, From your left, the first knob is for baking and grilling, the second is for the electric cooker and the other 3 are for the gas burners… The first is d one you will use for everything. Look at it closely u will see high and low flame, turn d knob to whichever flame u want. Just d first knob by ur left o. You don't have any business with the rest as far as oven and grill is concerned.
Thanks dear, God bless you for the information. I do appreciate
pls au many packs of domo cake mix made dis size of cake??? Asking cos i ve used a pack and it wasnts dis big. Nice cake. Going to get a pack 2mrw.
Also use scanfrost. Couldn't find any hole o, top or bottom
Pls help. Wanna grill fish this weekend
Are u saying all I need do is turn d knob to generate heat? Where do I light the gas?
Thanks Gee and Sazzy
Most syringes are calibrated in ml. You can get a 20ml syringe if you don't find the measuring cups/spoons. Discard after one use please!
