AFTER ‘ADOPTING’ NIGERIAN ORPHAN, KATIE PRICE SLAMMED BY FRIENDS

She was due to fly out to visit an orphanage in Nigeria, just over a fortnight ago, but was forced to cancel after not being able to secure childcare on a weekend in which she was looking after Junior, 13, and eleven year old Princess, her two children with Peter Andre.

Friends of Katie Price have hit out at her plans to adopt an Nigerian orphan, saying that she is only doing it for ‘financial gain’.

They have also said that cash-strapped Katie ‘will do anything for money’ as concern grows about the 40-year-old’s motives.

It has been a turbulent few months for the former glamour model, with bankruptcy hearings and getting banned from driving, but Pricey believes that the adoption would help turn her life around.

She announced her plans on This Morning last week, where she told Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby that, “I always wanted to adopt an orphan. I don’t care if they have disabilities or what age they are. I can offer them a place.”

“It is so hard to adopt over here, I’ve been looking into it for ages.”

This brought great horror to her exes Peter Andre and Kieran Hayler who were, “very concerned that she hasn’t thought it through properly,” and that she hadn’t been, “properly thinking about the consequences.”

After months of bad press, Katie is looking to reinstate her ‘mum image’ and a source has told Heat magazine that, “Katie doesn’t care if she’s with Kris or not when she adopts this baby – she’s been a single mum before and she can do it again.”

Speaking about extending her family further, Katie has apparently, “has her heart set on this,” and isn’t fussed whether she has a boy or a girl, though would love a sister to Princess and Bunny.

The former Loose Women panelist has ulterior motives, according to her pals, who believe that financial gain is driving her desire to adopt.

The source told Heat that a Nigerian orphan would, “bring more attention, and she can make money out of it.”
