This is how to cook good Nigerian jollof noodles
We cooked this jollof noodles as a last resort this morning. Woke up late, no time to start cooking for school. The empty lunch box sat there staring at me and I had to do a 10 minute meal. Thankfully he likes it.
Here are all the ingredients for Nigerian jollof noodles…
INGREDIENTS
1 large pack indomie noodles
One cup of hot water
A tablespoon tomato paste
1/4 cup shredded kpomo
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 small onion
Before you cook this Jollof noodles, add a little water to the tomato paste and stir to make it runny. Frying a runny tomato paste is easier than dropping the thick tomato lump in oil.
DIRECTION FOR MAKING THIS DELICIOUS JOLLOF NOODLES:
- Stir fry the onion with kpomo and seasoning. I added just half of the seasoning and tomato paste
- Add hot water and stir. Check for taste and bring it to a boil.
- Add the noodles and stir gently. Check for taste and cover to cook for about five minutes or as soft as you like it.
- Serve your yummy Nigerian jollof noodles hot with proteins.
So, that’s how to make Jollof Noodles that no one can ignore.
