15 Things to always carry in a woman’s handbag

These fifteen items should always be in every woman’s handbag. They are the essentials. You don’t really feel like you need them but, just keep them there. They’ll come in handy and save the day. A woman’s handbag no matter how small, should be able to hold these 15 items and more.

15 ITEMS TO CARRY IN A WOMAN’S HANDBAG ARE:

1. 1. Baby wipes: Wet wipes come in handy all the time. They are not only needed by parents or mums of new born babies. Every woman needs a pack of baby wipes in her handbag. You need these wipes when you need to wipe your hands for some reason or the other.To wipe the face. What if you need to change the lipstick colour for a night event after work? Wet wipes are very very much needed in that handbag. There have been times that I went out without wipes and then needed them to help wipe the older kids.They are not babies anymore but honestly we still use wipes on them like daily because they play a lot. Sometimes we are out and one kid’s  nose begin to get stuffy, these wipes come in handy. Don’t you also need to wipe your nose when the weather is kind of cold and windy?
      Wipes are a must have in a lady’s handbag.
   2. A recharge card if you live in Nigeria. Just drop the recharge card in the bag and forget about it. There are times Online recharge methods fail. Sometimes the banking App refuses to work when you need it most. If you have a recharge card saved in your handbag, it will come in handy and save the day. A recharge card in a woman’s handbag can be there for a year or more and still be useful. So, forget it until you need it in an emergency.
   3. Hand sanitizer: If you don’t have a hand sanitizer yet in your handbag, get one now. They come in different sizes and you can get even the smallest of sizes at supermarkets. Having hand sanitizers make you feel safe when you shake hands carelessly or touch places like public taps, bathroom and public restrooms while out and about.
      A bottle of hand sanitizer can go a long way.However small the size of the handbag, even if it’s a purse, there are small bottle hand sanitizers that can fit. You look neat, hygienic and classy when you bring out your nice smelling hand sanitizer and begin to sprinkle on your hands. Socially, it’s a good habit aside being hygienic. You are immediately seen as clean and very hygienic.  We love the hand sanitizers that deodorize too.The colourful ones that come with good fragrance because  after eating some type of swallows  and soups like Nigerian ogbono soup or even vegetable soups. No amount of washing can take away the smell of these foods. That’s where deodorizing hand sanitizers come in.They immediately clear of bad smells. When you go grocery shopping touch some frozen foods like seafoods. Washing doesn’t remove those smells easily. A little drop of hand sanitizers in the palm of the hands and a gentle rub just refreshes immediately.

      When you prepare to go out, you never know what your hands will touch and how many people you end up shaking hands with. Get a bottle of hand sanitizer. Honestly I have them in all my bags.

      I have some tiny bottles kept in the wardrobe for my girls because sometimes they go to my bags and pick without letting me know. They are quietly replaced immediately and we don’t ask them why ?because I like that they have this habit of carrying hand sanitizers.

      The ones with good fragrances. are a favourite Hubby says these nice smelling ones won’t be as effective as the ones with no fragrance but who cares? Most times it is even the deodorizing effect that makes me use them.

      When I’m in a place and I don’t like the smells (sensitive nostrils) What I do is rub a little of my hand sanitizers and immediately the whole place is deodorized and I feel better. I like that because I can’t stand bad smells. I have a bad habit of smelling things even when no one can smell anything, lol. Hand sanitizers in a woman’s handbag are a must have. Aside acting as deodorants, handsanitizers  can be used as mosquito repellent 

 

• Another important item to always pack in a woman’s handbag is a small pack of tissues.

 

1. There is no day you don’t need tissues. Imagine going to use a restroom and the tissue there is exhausted or they forgot to replace.

Here I don’t even have to talk much because we all use tissues and know that we may need them in emergency while outside our home and office.

1. 1. Vex money (Mad money) When you go out and need to rush back home for any reason. There should be enough change in a woman’s handbag to take her home without begging. This cannot be overemphasised. Imagine going out on a date and you need to leave in a hurry.Won’t it be belittling to start asking your date for money to go home. Let’s say you are unimpressed or unhappy and need to leave. There should some vex money to pay your way back home.A woman’s handbag should be able to equip her at all times, she should be able to call a taxi and pat her fare with pride and dignity intact. Don’t spend your vex money. When you use it, let there be a replacement immediately. Keep the money there and forget about it. Even if it’s just a 2k Naira or 5k, nothing spoil, leave it there. You’ll need it in emergency exit or something.

 

• Phone charger if you don’t mind or a powerbank to charge your phone just in case there’s no electricity where you find yourself.

 

 

1. A small sewing kit. Your button might need a quick fix. The zippers that come these days like to disappoint. A small sewing kit in your handbag is not a bad idea. The sewing kit should also contain a safety pin or two. You may not need them in the near future, you may seriously need them one day.
2. Super glue saves lives too. If your shoe decides to misbehave, no one needs to know. Just pick it up, apply some super glue and relax till you get home. A little attachment might decide to drop off the shoe without warning, super glue will help you put it back in place.
3. Some lipgloss will do too.
4. The lipstick you are wearing for that day. Before you leave the house, it will help yo drop it in the handbag. What if you meet some hot food and drinks, you just relax and enjoy because there is something in your handbag to take care of the lips and look like you never ate anything.
5. Keep a small travel size bottle of deodorant in your hand bag, please do.
6. A pen in your bag always.
7. Have Emergency contact info handy in every woman’s handbag. In the case that you need help somewhere someday, people can just look in your bag and some info about you.A driver’s license, your voter’s card or anything that can help identify one., should be in a woman’s handbag always. This is so important that in my family, even when we go jogging, we carry at least a voter’s card in the pocket or driver’s license just incase. You never can tell when you’ll need them.
8. Buy and keep a condom too if you are not married and not celibate. It’s better to be safe than sorry. Keep a pack of condoms in your handbag. That doesn’t mean that you are planning to use them. Just keep them there.
